Diagnostic
Interview

A clinical interview is the first step to start your treatment process. This interview will be used to gather history, address your concerns, and develop a comprehensive treatment plan for further services.

Individual
Therapy

Our counseling staff will work with you individually to address your emotional needs. 

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): A service that addresses thoughts, feelings, and behaviors by utilizing talk therapy. Our counseling staff will work with you to regulate emotions through use of coping skills.  
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR): An evidence-based therapy that incorporates bilateral stimulation to assist in the processing of trauma and reduction of trauma responses. EMDR is an eight-phase model including history taking, preparation, assessment, desensitization, installation, body scan, closure, and reevaluation. 
  • Play Therapy: A creative method of therapy that uses puppets, games, dolls, legos, and puzzles to help children process through their emotions.
    • Autplay: Our center has counseling staff who are AutPlay certified to work with neurodivergent children. AutPlay is an affirming approach to inclusive care.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): An evidenced-based therapy that teaches individuals skills to manage and regulate big emotions and improve relationships. Comprehensive DBT includes individual therapy and group therapy for at least six months.

Group
Therapy

Group therapy is a treatment process that includes multiple patients to work together on personal, group, and community goals.

  • PEERS ®: Group therapy approach to learn and practice social skills with neurodivergent peers.
  • Social Thinking! : A social skills group therapy for children to adolescents to develop theory of mind, perspective taking, and cognitive flexibility.
  • Art Group Therapy: A group designed for children 7-14 years old to work on CBT skills specifically to address anxiety through means of creative outlet.

Marriage
Therapy

This type of therapy helps with effective communication between partners. You will learn conflict resolution skills and recognize and express needs in a relationship.

Family
Therapy

Our counseling staff will work with your family to increase communication skills and resolve interpersonal relationships within the family.

  • Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT): An evidenced based approach to treatment for parents and children with behavioral problems. PCIT is an intensive 20-week program that works on decreasing problem behaviors and teaches parents and children relationship skills that will last through the lifespan.

This is a super exciting development for southwest Missouri! It is affiliated with the Arc of the Ozarks so I can already tell it’s going to be an awesome addition to the community.
